What are the best treatment to clear acne scars?
I have been battling acne on and off since I was 17 and used a few products (retin-A and otc) and I use proactiv now and it works great. I also combine monthly chemical peels to keep my face clear.
Okay, my acne is gone but my face has some scarring. Its not too bad (just a little red or brown here and there) but sometimes I wish I could go out without make up a little confident. Ihear microdermabrasions were good but the lady who does my chemical peels said it just clears away the top layer of skin and not removing scarring. But isnt that what a scar is? Any advice? Please and Thank you

Exfoliating works, if you keep using proactiv then it will also heal scars. If you have the money there is lasering you can do. My aunt did it and it worked great!

The age old question of how to clear acne up keeps cropping up. Much has been said and written about the problem but it will not go away!
We are all aware of the fact that eating a proper diet, drinking sufficient water and getting plenty of rest are great ways to help clear your complexion and get rid of acne. The fact of the matter is that the answer is complex. There are in fact several different types of sweat glands all over your our body. Unfortunately it would appear the type of sweat glands that are generally considered to be responsible, to a certain degree, for acne are different from the ones that are going to be active whenever you are working out and exercising. There is also a school of thought that believes the sweat causes salt and toxins to be released from your body which is then deposited on the areas in which the acne persists. This can irritate the situation and even cause your acne to get worse. So on the face of it the answer to the above question might not be so obvious!
Whenever you exercise, you are gaining many benefits not least of which you are indeed releasing toxins from your body and this is a great way to help get rid of your acne. However you must ensure that those toxins are not allowed to rest on your existing skin problems. During exercise you should tie back your hair and wear clothing that keeps the sweat away from your body. This will go a long way in helping those toxins to stay away from your acne affected skin areas. If you are eating properly, drinking plenty of water and getting exercise then you are going to notice the differences in the way that your complexion looks. If you cut out any one of these steps, you are going to cut out part of that balance and your complexion is going to suffer such that you will not easily be able to get rid of acne. It is, therefore, a very good idea for you to exercise on a regular basis in order to maintain your internal balance and to keep your complexion clear. You need to make sure that you are keeping the toxins and salt away from the existing acne and that you always shower soon after doing your exercise in order to keep all the acne area clean. Doing this will make differences in the way that you look and will help you to maintain an overall balance within your body.
