Face Scrub
Why use a face scrub?
Everyday cleansing is not always enough to remove the build-up of dead skin cells. Although perfectly natural (this doesn't mean you're unclean, honest!) dead skin cells, and all the facial nastiness that they bring, can leave skin looking lifeless and prone to blackheads and spot breakout.
Fortunately men, help is at hand! Face scrubs unclog these pores, breathing life into your skin. The Moosehead ‘Look Buff' face scrub (which is in the Men Are Useless boxes) fights ingrown hairs by exfoliating the surface of the skin and loosening any rebellious strands, leaving you with a smoother surface and more comfortable morning shave. For this reason, bald men - or those who shave to get the look - can also use the scrub on their scalp!
The scrub's ingredients like jojoba oil help to fight rugged and rough skin, with anti-inflammatory ingredients such as the medicinal shea butter fading scares, facial irritations and sun damage whilst hydrating the skin by easing facial tension.
On a basic level, men's face scrubs remove all of the unwanted dirt and grime, leaving behind fresh, healthy skin that looks instantly brighter, whilst smelling great!
It's best to use face scrubs as part of your morning routine (when you shower for example), but if you ever feel particularly ambitious there is certainly no harm in using it twice daily, so long as it's applied correctly. The face scrub should be applied delicately using no more than a small coin and applied to the face in gentle circle motions alongside warm water. Concentrate on the areas that are most prone to blemishes such as the nose, chin and forehead, whilst avoiding the eye region. Rinse with cool water until the scrub has been moved. Be gentle or the face can be left red with damaged skin.
Remember: The ingredients smooth your skin, it's face scrub – not sandpaper!
