Frequently Asked Questions...
What happens if I use lightening gel on color-treated hair?
I got a bottle of La Bella lightening gel. It's sort of like Sun-In, I suppose, but not as damaging or as extreme, and it works on all hair colors, not just light brown/blonde. It says on the back not to use it on color-treated hair, but it also says not to use on african-american hair and I know a girl who did, and got great results, and she was black. I have color-treated hair and I was wondering what would happen if I used this gel.
i ordered it from cosmetic solutions, it's called La Bella Light'ning gel
Answer:
test some on a strand of your hair, and see what happens, if the results are positive you can continue to use it all over your hair. By the way, where did you buy this lightening gel? Im interested to buy some myself.

How To Choose A Safe Yet Effective Lightening Gel For Sensitive Areas
Are you using skin lightening products? If yes, then be careful before using them on your sensitive body parts. They may have some serious side effects. This makes it very important for you to choose the right lightening gel for sensitive areas.
If I were to broadly categorize the skin lightening products, I would divide them into two – chemical laden and natural.
The chemical laden gels and creams may entice you because they are fast and quick. But not only are they ineffective, there results are temporary too. They lighten the skin superficially only.
There was one specific chemical laden skin lightening cream in the news recently, which worked by slowly burning the upper layer of the skin. This lead to the gradual removal of the dark upper layer, making way for the inner layer of the skin which is obviously lighter in color.
Using such lightening gels for sensitive areas is just insane.
So what to do? Use one lightening gel for face, hands and neck and another lightening gel for sensitive areas?
Why get into all this mess?
Instead choose a lightening gel which is natural i.e. containing ingredients which are natural substances. Since they do not have any chemicals, there is no chance of side effects.
These natural skin lightening creams essentially contain a miraculous natural ingredient - Extrapone Nutgrass Root.
It works by reducing the melanin content in the skin by up to 40%.
It is this pigment melanin which decides the color of the skin. Higher is its content, darker the skin will be.
Since Extrapone Root reduces the melanin naturally, the result is a whiter and lighter skin. Such a natural lightening gel for sensitive areas is absolutely safe to be used and is far more effective than the chemical laden ones.
Melanin content is also increased by the harmful UV radiations coming from the sun. Since avoiding the sun completely is just not possible, you also need a natural substance like Phytessence Wakame.
It is a Japanese sea kelp which forms a protective layer around the skin and protects it from the harmful rays coming from the sun. It thus helps in preventing the excessive production of melanin in the skin.
A natural cream containing such natural ingredients can be safely and confidently used on sensitive body parts as well. So, choose a single natural lightening gel for sensitive areas and save yourself from the hassles and side effects of chemical gels.
