The Simplest Way to Cut Back the Appearance of Age Spots
Age spots are especially due to long-term sun exposure. Although sun is the no 1 reason for developing age spots, smoking, a unsatisfactory diet, poor liver function, and a diet loaded in oxidized oils are also contributing factors.
These age spots are a consequence of the overproduction of lipofuscin, a dark substance produced by our cells. Age spots sometimes begin appearing when we are in our 30's and, besides being unsightly, increase our likelihood of epidermal carcinoma. As is the case with most skin conditions, age spots are better to stop than to treat. Eating a diet loaded in green leafy vegetables, carrots, yams, and other foods that are high in carotene can help reduce your odds of getting age spots in the first place. If you are already suffer from age spots, don't loose hope. There are options open to you to reduce the appearance of age spots, as well as improve the final health of your skin.
There are many products on the market today that may help in diminishing the look of age spots. Fade creams are a popular choice among shoppers. These over the counter creams contain moisturizers with a two p.c hydroquinone content which is a bleaching agent that may help in the fading process. Most satisfactory results are got with the cream is employed in association with glycolic acid moisturizer. Prescription creams that contain vitamin A, such as Retin-A or Retinova, work better than the over the counter fade creams.
There are more intrusive options available to you for those suffering from a much more serious case of age spots. Chemical peels are one of these options. Using 30%-70% glycolic acid, the fading factor is far more pronounced than in either of the creams mentioned above. The treatment is simple and can be done in a {passing quick} session, even on your lunch break if need be. You will need more than one treatment to reach the full effects of the process.
Laser resurfacing is another choice like the chemical peel. In this process, the age spots are literally burned off the skin's surface with a laser and can be accomplished in one treatment. It does have a recovery time of about one week and can be quite costly.
For a more natural and inexpensive way to help prevent age spots simply limit your exposure to the sun and, when you're in the sun, wear sunscreen. Restrict your alcohol intake and eat a well balance diet.

Frequently Asked Questions...
isit a bad idea to start with a 50% glycolic peel?
I've ordered the 50% glycolic peel instead of a 30% one which was recommended. i just figured they done that so they can get me buying more products and waste my money.but now im scared to use it incase i damage my skin. what are the results for some who uses glycolic acid for the first time at 50%?
Answer:
STOP. Do u want to damage ur skin forever, whos paying u to play with ur skin, if u cant trust ur own therapist then theres little anyone can do for u but i will tell u why it is bad to use 50 % strength right away. One should infact introduce the skin to gly. peel step wise starting with very low conc, theres a definate plan for it, ask ur therapist and pls dont ruin ur skin by putting 50 % straight away, u need to preapre the skin first and take very good sun protection.
