Lactic Acid Peel ‘Importance' - What You Don't Know About Lactic Acid Peel
The most common complaint from lactic acid peel users is that it burns and stings the skin after the application which is natural and temporary. This post-treatment effect will be gone off as soon as possible. Try to ignore this tingly sensation and never scratch the skin to avoid irritation.
Before performing your first lactic acid peel, ensure that the skin is first, clean. I would consider doing a facial wash using mild soap for sensitive skins. Let it dry for a couple of minutes. Pat it lightly. And make sure that the skin surface is completely dry for any water residue will neutralize the acid and this will only make your lactic acid peel utterly useless. Perform it in a place where you can quickly make use of clean water. A bathroom or washing sink with mirror works well in this procedure.
Upon application, avoid having contact with the eyes (for obvious reason: to avoid eye irritation, redness and worse, blindness), mouth and nostrils. If this is your first time applying this kind of peel, apply into your face and leave it for approximately 2 to 3 minutes. If you have tried using it before, you can advance yourself and you could try it for 5-6 minutes max. Prolonged exposure might harm your skin. So when you feel uncomfortable sensation into your skin, it's time to wash it off with water or baking soda. Even if it is not the recommended time yet.
This treatment may provide temporary result. To achieve the desired result, I would recommend doing a series of 5-6 sessions, all one week apart to allow redness to disappear and to allow the skin to heal. Wait for at least a month or more to begin another sequence.
It is best advised to consult your dermatologist first to ensure that your skin is ready for this kind of treatment.
